Sialkot has made sports goods for the world for more than a century. In 2026, a new type of buyer is calling: small activewear brands, grassroots clubs and fightwear labels that want custom kits without big-brand minimums. Here is what the data says, and what to ask a custom sportswear manufacturer before you order.

Sportswear demand keeps growing

Estimates depend on what each firm counts. Fortune Business Insights puts the sportswear market at about USD 235 billion in 2026, with apparel making up roughly 64% of it. Mordor Intelligence, using a wider definition, estimates about USD 425 billion in 2026. Mordor also reports that North America held about 42% of the market in 2025, and that the UK is set to be Europe’s fastest-growing sportswear market through 2031. Those are exactly the buyers we serve most.

Pakistan’s sports exports are rising

According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics data reported by The Express Tribune, sports goods exports rose about 13% to USD 319 million in July–March of fiscal 2025-26, while Pakistan’s total exports fell. Footballs led that growth. These figures cover sports goods such as balls and gloves, not all sportswear, but they show buyers are putting more orders into the Sialkot cluster (here is why Sialkot is known for sportswear). Global names such as Adidas, Nike and Puma have long sourced from the city, as DHL notes.

Tariffs matter too. Since 24 July 2026, Pakistani goods carry a 10% US Section 301 duty on top of the normal MFN rate, while China’s rate is 12.5% plus older China-specific duties (Arab News). Rates can change, but for buyers in the USA, UK, Europe, Ireland and Canada it does not land on you: Pexton ships duty paid (DDP), so import duty is already in your quote.

Sportswear trends clubs and brands are ordering

Fully sublimated kits. Clubs from grassroots to semi-pro now want full-colour designs dyed into the fabric, so graphics do not crack, peel or fade (how sublimation works). The 2026 World Cup pushed gradient patterns, minimal “clean” kits and matching team collections into grassroots football kits, as UK kit makers like My Club have seen.

Matching team sets. Teams increasingly order the full package: jersey, shorts, socks, tracksuits, training tops and bags, all in one design.

Gymwear that crosses into streetwear. Oversized pump covers and heavyweight hoodies now sit alongside compression and singlets in gym brands’ ranges. See our activewear manufacturing.

Niche sports. We see steady demand for fightwear (boxing gloves, headgear, grappling spats, wrestling singlets, judo gis, rash guards), plus darts and cornhole jerseys, golf polos and paddle sports wear.

What to ask a custom sportswear manufacturer

  1. MOQ per design. Pexton starts at 30–50 pieces per product/design, so a single club team can order.
  2. Sample and bulk timelines. Our samples take 8–10 days; bulk takes 14–16 days after sample approval, depending on quantity, artwork and specs.
  3. Decoration methods. Sublimation, embroidery, 3D puff embroidery and reflective logos each suit different garments. Ask which one fits your fabric.
  4. Proof during production. We send photo and video updates, and clients can send their own third-party inspector.
  5. Who leads quality. At Pexton, production is managed by Haji Yaseen (35+ years in apparel) and quality control by Asad Ullah Khan (25+ years). Read about our quality assurance.
  6. Shipping and duties. To the USA, UK, Europe and Ireland we ship duty paid (DDP), door to door, so there are no surprise customs bills. To Canada, Australia and New Zealand we ship door-to-door by courier, with import duty paid by the client for now. Duty-paid (DDP) shipping to Canada is coming soon.
