What to Include When You Brief a Private Label Range
Private label work is mostly about details that carry your brand: labels, tags, packaging and how each logo sits on the garment. Telling us these early keeps the sample close to what your customers will receive.
Useful to send
- The styles in your range and which ones launch first
- Logo files in vector format (AI, PDF or SVG) and where each logo goes
- Label plan: woven or printed neck label, size and care label wording, and country-of-origin text
- Branded hang tags, stickers, polybags or mailer boxes, with sizes if you know them
- Colourways and the size range for each style
- Quantity per design, destination country and your launch date
- Target retail price or target unit cost
What changes cost and lead time
- Custom woven labels and printed packaging are made to your artwork and approved before bulk
- Every colourway counts as its own design for the 30-piece MOQ (sizes can be mixed)

- Label position, print size and packaging are signed off on the sample (about 8–10 days); bulk follows in about 14–16 days

Private Label Questions
What is the minimum order for private label clothing?
30 pieces per design. Sizes can be mixed within that quantity, so a new brand can launch a small first collection without a large investment.
Can you add my own neck labels and hang tags?
Yes. We produce woven or printed neck labels, care labels, swing tags and branded polybags with your logo. Nothing from Pexton Apparel appears on the product or packaging.
I don’t have a tech pack. Can you still make my clothing?
Yes. Send a sketch, reference photos or a description, and we will create a digital mockup and work out the measurements with you. You can also use our free tech pack template.
How long does it take to launch a private label line?
A physical sample takes 8–10 days. After you approve it, bulk production typically takes 14–16 days, then express shipping. Most brands receive their first stock within a few weeks of sending the design.
Will you keep my designs confidential?
Yes. Your designs, logos and tech packs are never shared with other clients or shown in our catalogue.
Can you add barcodes and pack for my warehouse?
Yes. We can fold and bag each piece individually, add your barcode or SKU stickers, and pack cartons to your instructions.
Do you ship private label orders with duties paid?
Yes. We ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to the USA, UK, Ireland, Canada and most of Europe, so the price you are quoted includes import duties. Australia and New Zealand orders ship door to door with duties paid by the buyer, and DDP to Canada is available.
