Labelling Clothing for New Zealand
New Zealand has consumer information standards for fibre content and care labels. We make labels to your approved details, and these are the main points.
Fibre content in English
Fibre content must be on a permanent label, in English, clearly readable and at least 1.5 mm high.
Care instructions
Clothing needs a care label in English. Symbols can be added to the written instructions.
Built to last
The care label must withstand the care treatment the garment needs.
Southern-hemisphere seasons
Rugby and netball are played through winter and cricket through summer, so plan each kit for its season.
