Sampling

How Are Clothing Samples Developed Before Bulk Production?

What happens between sending your design and approving a sample, what you need to provide, and how to get a sample right the first time.

Quick answer

We turn your design into a mockup within 24 hours, then build a pattern, source the fabric and trims, and make a physical sample in 8–10 days. You check the fit, fabric and decoration, ask for changes if needed, and approve it. Bulk production of 10–12 days starts only after approval.

Why the approved sample matters

The approved sample is the reference for the whole order. During bulk production, garments are measured and checked against it, so the clearer the sample sign-off, the fewer surprises when the order arrives.

How to get it right first time

  • Send a reference garment or a measurement chart. Fit is the most common reason for a second sample.
  • Mark logo sizes and positions in centimetres or inches, not just on a picture.
  • Name your colours with Pantone codes where you can.
  • Say how the garment will be worn, such as training, fight night or streetwear, so the fabric fits the use.

What to check when the sample arrives

Try it on more than one body, wash it once, and check seams, prints and labels. Our sample approval checklist lists every point to check before you sign off.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a clothing sample take?

A sample takes 8–10 days. A digital mockup is ready within 24 hours.

Can I change the sample?

Yes. Tell us what to change in fit, fabric or decoration, and we adjust it before you approve.

Do I need a tech pack for a sample?

No. A sketch or reference photo is enough to start. A tech pack makes reorders more consistent.

When does bulk production start?

After you approve the sample. Bulk production then takes 10–12 days.
