Delivered duty paid (DDP) to your door, with paperwork prepared for EU customs.
Shipping to the Netherlands: EU Customs, Duty, GSP+ and VAT
Orders for the Netherlands are cleared under EU customs rules. We prepare the commercial invoice, product descriptions and fibre content for EU customs.
Imports into the Netherlands can attract customs duty and import VAT. The Dutch standard VAT rate is 21%, and clothing is taxed at the standard rate. Pakistan’s GSP+ status with the EU can reduce or remove duty on many garments, subject to rules of origin – a real advantage when you compare landed costs.
We ship delivered duty paid (DDP) to the Netherlands: customs duty and import VAT are included in your quote, so there is nothing to pay when the boxes arrive.
VAT source: Taxenlight – VAT in the Netherlands 2026. Rates can change; confirm with your tax adviser.
Before you order for the Netherlands
- Delivery address in the Netherlands confirmed
- Dutch fibre names agreed for your labels
- Textile EPR (UPV Textiel) registration checked (see below)
- Season planned – football and hockey start dates, Christmas, spring drops
Clothing Labels and Textile Rules for the Netherlands
The Netherlands follows the EU Textile Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011. Garments must carry a fibre composition label with the standard EU fibre names and percentages, in the language of the country where they are sold – for the Netherlands, in Dutch (for example “100% katoen”). Many brands use multilingual labels so one product can be sold across the EU.
Textile producer responsibility: the Netherlands has an extended producer responsibility scheme for clothing and household textiles (UPV Textiel). Producers, importers and foreign suppliers who sell textiles in the Netherlands must register with Rijkswaterstaat and report each year; a seller based outside the Netherlands must appoint an authorised representative there. Check with your adviser how this applies to your business.
Making childrenswear or junior club kit? Drawstrings on children’s clothing are covered by safety standard EN 14682. Tell us at the quote stage and we design around it.
Labels we can add to every Dutch order
- Main woven brand label (neck or hem)
- Fibre composition label in Dutch, or multilingual
- Wash care label with care symbols
- Country of origin: “Made in Pakistan”
- Size labels and custom hang tags
- Custom branded packaging
You remain the brand owner on record, so please confirm your final label wording with your compliance adviser.
